On 31 August, Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China, Ying Yong, held a meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijan’s Parliament, giving “high praise” to the cooperation between the ruling New Azerbaijan Party and the Communist Party of China.

In a 4 August message to the Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress, Zhao Leji, praised the two countries’ “cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative,” saying it had “yielded significant results.”
